The Wrap reports that Rhys Ifans will be playing Dr. Curt Connors, aka The Lizard, in the SPIDER-MAN reboot.
The Wrap reports that Rhys Ifans will be playing Dr. Curt Connors, aka The Lizard, in the SPIDER-MAN reboot. Dylan Baker had played Connors in a small role in Raimi's SPIDER-MAN sequels, sparking rumors that The Lizard would eventually become a top villain in the original series.
Andrew Garfield is playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Emma Stone will play his first love Gwen Stacy. The role of Mary Jane Watson has yet to be cast.
Marc Webb is directing. Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin are the producers.
Filming will start in December with the film set to hit theaters on July 3, 2012.
