IDT Names DeBevoise & Campbell to Key Exec Positions

IDT Ent. has appointed Marc DeBevoise svp, business development & strategy and Paul Campbell has joined the company as svp, publicity and promotion. Both execs will be based at IDT Ent.s east coast headquarters in Newark, New Jersey.

DeBevoise will be responsible for the generation, evaluation and execution of business development and growth opportunities, especially related to emerging digital content and distribution platforms.

Marc has a tremendous background in finance as it relates to media and technology, said Neil Braun, president of feature films & television, to whom DeBevoise will report. He will have a major role in navigating our future direction in the emerging area of digital media content and distribution.

DeBevoise was director of emerging markets for NBC Universal Digital Media, responsible for generating and executing new business development opportunities related to NBCUs and Internet/Broadband and Wireless businesses. Projects included developing strategies for online videogames, short-form content and alternative distribution platforms, as well as managing the development, launch and operation of various Internet properties and online game titles.

Previously, DeBevoise was an associate in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at JP Morgan in San Francisco and New York City. In this role, he executed and advised on equity, debt and M&A transactions in various sectors, including Internet media, software, and information & business services. DeBevoise also worked in corporate financial planning & operations at Cablevision Systems Corp. and in motion picture and television production finance at Miramax Films.

Campbell will oversee all national and regional publicity and promotion for IDT Ent.s feature film and television projects and will work closely with the IDT Home Ent. division as well. He will spearhead all grassroots and college publicity and promotional efforts.

Campbell joins IDT Ent. from THE VILLAGE VOICE, the countrys oldest and largest alternative weekly newspaper, where he was the film sales and marketing exec from 2004-2006. From 1998 to 2003, he was at Artisan Ent. where he rose to svp of publicity and promotion, working on such films as THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB and JONAH: A VEGGIE TALES MOVIE, among others.

Prior to Artisan, Campbell managed the regional promotion and publicity efforts at Allied Advertising for such clients as Paramount, DreamWorks, MGM and Hard Rock Café. He was also promotions director for WXTR-FM in Washington, D.C. when the station was selected the National Assoc. of Broadcasters Large Market Station of the Year. During his tenure as promotions coordinator for WMZQ-FM, also in Washington, D.C. the broadcaster was recognized as the Country Music Assoc.s Station of the Year.
