Hot Dogs Marks First Toon Feature from Pelagius & Protein

HOT DOGS will be the first animated feature from L.A.'s Pelagius Entertainment and Bangalor's Protein Entertainment, reports VARIETY.

HOT DOGS will be the first animated feature from L.A.'s Pelagius Entertainment and Bangalor's Protein Entertainment, reports VARIETY. The companies have garnered funds from private Indian firms to the tune of $50 million to produce 3-D animated and live-action features, as well as TV series. The firms look to create three to five films over the next three years.

HOT DOGS was penned by Max Botkin (ROBOSAPIEN: REBOOTED). Production will start in the first quarter of 2011.

Joe Fries, Bob DeMars, Natalie Khoury will produce.

Protein's Nandish Domlur formed animation firm Paprikaas.
