Hornet Signs Emmanuelle & Julien

Noteworthy character designer and talented 3D artist first gain attention for their university film, ‘A La Française.’

New York -- Hornet has signed Emmanuelle & Julien. Emmanuelle, a noteworthy character designer, and Julien, a talented 3D artist, place comedy and character at the center of their work. The duo first gained attention for their university film A La Française, which the pair completed alongside classmates Morrigane Boyer, William Lorton, and Ren Hsien Hsu. The idea for the film being Julien's. A series of silent gags about the 17th Century French aristocracy, portrayed as stuffy, slightly hedonistic chickens, the film won a string of awards and was the highlight of numerous festivals.

With the same subtle humor, expression and comedic timing found in their shorts, the duo has also been taking on commercial work. Their most recent creation, a multi-spot comedy campaign for Brossard Brownies.

Hornet represents Emmanuelle & Julien in the U.S. and Canada. The directing duo comes to Hornet through a partnership with Parisian production company ChezEddy.
