Touchstone Home Entertainment is finally giving Roger Rabbit what he deserves. Not a trip to The Dip, but a deluxe VISTA Series 2-disc DVD release. Scheduled for release on March 25, 2003 in celebration of the film's 15th anniversary, this newly restored version of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT will be presented in widescreen format with digital sound and a host of bonus features that go behind the scenes of this groundbreaking mix of live-action and animation. The special features in this 2-disc set include deleted scenes, commentary from director Robert Zemeckis, an in-depth look at the making of the film including a look at a scene with and without animation and how filmmakers rehearsed the live-action actors with their "toon" stand ins. The DVD also includes three shorts featuring Roger Rabbit. Suggested retail price: $29.99 DVD; $19.99 VHS.
