Walt Disney Home Entertainment ups the LILO & STITCH ante with a new DVD board game, LILO & STITCH'S ISLAND OF ADVENTURES ($29.99), available Nov. 11, 2003. In keeping with the home entertainment division's "immersive" theme, the DVD provides nearly 60 minutes of new content that expands the home theater family experience. Players interact with favorite and new characters from Disney's beloved animated film. They'll race around the game board in a quest to capture Stitch's lost cousins, while playing dynamic on-screen games, singing, dancing and having fun.

LILO & STITCH'S ISLAND OF ADVENTURES is a Disney first. The DVD works in conjunction with the board game to give players randomized choices that allow unpredictable game play, so families can play over and over again without repetition. There are no lost dice in LILO & STITCH'S ISLAND OF ADVENTURES. Players use their remote control to spin the onscreen spinner and advance along the playing board.

The game features original music and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, to bring the lush, tropical sights and sounds of the Hawaiian Islands right into the family room. In LILO & STITCH'S ISLAND OF ADVENTURE, Stitch's fellow experiments have been accidentally freed and are wreaking havoc in Hawaii. Lilo has set out after them but she can't capture them all by herself, and if Nani finds out what happened, she's in big trouble. Luckily, David (your narrator) knows the path she took and is sending YOU and your fellow players after Lilo to help her collect the experiments. You'll experience the sights and sounds of the island and receive surprise visits from special guests, who may help (or hinder) your progress as you race to the finish line. Crossing the finish line first doesn't guarantee victory. You must collect the most experiments to win, but don't let Nani find out.

In addition, Disney will release the premiere DVD sequel, STITCH! THE MOVIE (Aug. 26), in which another 625 alien experiments are unleashed in Hawaii. The sequel serves as a setup for the upcoming LILO & STITCH: THE SERIES, premiering on Disney Channel in October.
