Original-Cut Pete's Dragon Arrives On VHS & DVD
Disney is releasing for the first time PETE'S DRAGON in its original theatrical 135-minute cut. Hitting stores on January 16, 2001, the VHS and DVD will have a restored and remastered video and audio track. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Original Song Score and Best Song for "Candle On The Water." The DVD will also contain: "Man, Monsters and Mysteries," a 26-minute light-hearted featurette about the Loch Ness monster; theatrical trailers; TV spots; a showcase of Disney artist Ken Anderson; "Where's Elliot?" Disappearing Dragon Game; concept art; behind-the-scenes photo gallery; and publicity and production stills. PETE'S DRAGON will retail for US$22.99 on VHS and $29.99 on DVD.
