This week, BCI Eclipse, a Navarre Corp. company, and leading U.K. media company and underlying rights owner, Entertainment Rights Plc (ER) released THE NEW ADVENTURES OF HE-MAN: VOLUME ONE. The six DVD pack, which is released under BCI's Ink & Paint brand, will include 33 digitally remastered episodes from the first season of the '90s animated series and be available for $49.98.

"We are excited to introduce the final saga in the successful HE-MAN series," said Jeff Hayne, director of acquisitions, BCI. "As evidenced by the great demand for prior He-Man sets, this release will undoubtedly continue to sate fans' appetites."

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF HE-MAN: VOLUME ONE is the first release in a two-volume set that will include all 65 original episodes. Both HE-MAN volumes, along with prior HE-MAN AND SHE-RA DVD releases form a unique "spine art mural."

The six DVDs will include the first 33 episodes of the series, and also feature:
* Two brand new documentaries
* Two new original art cards by award-winning comic book artists Ed McGuinness (SUPERMAN, JLA) and Bryan Hitch (THE ULTIMATES)
* 50 Character profiles
* Five scripts
* Commercial bumpers
* Art gallery
* Episode guide booklet
* Trailers
* Trivia fun facts
* Easter eggs
* Spanish language tracks

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF HE-MAN aired in 1990 as a spin-off of the popular HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE series.

Consulting with BCI on the project and providing extra content is Val Staples, the owner of www.he-man.org, the Internet's largest portal for the HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE fan community, the owner of MVCreations graphic design company, and the publisher of the recent MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE comic. Producing the special features, documentaries and most of the extra content is entertainment writer Andy Mangels, a best-selling novelist, and author of ANIMATION ON DVD--THE ULTIMATE GUIDE.
