Alliance Atlantis Int’l Content Distribution has appointed BBC Worldwide as the U.K. DVD licensee for the popular preschool stop-motion animated property, LUNAR JIM. BBC Worldwide will launch the property’s first-ever DVD in the U.K. this week.

The show follows the adventures of intrepid space explorer Lunar Jim – whenever they or their parents feel like heading to the moon. Comprised of 10 10-minute episodes, the DVD LET’S GET LUNAR follows the adventures of astronaut Lunar Jim and his fellow moon dwellers, friends Rover, Ripple, Eco and T.E.D., the Technical Equipment Device. The gang gets involved in remarkable rescues, marvellous mysteries and amazing explorations as they adjust to life in Moona Luna, a village much like any other except for its extraordinary location – the moon.

Episodes include:
* Meteor Mystery
* That's Odd... Where's the Pod
* The Moon Thief
* The Whistling Crater
* Wrong Way, Ted
* Pest Problem
* Jim Gets Mucky
* Up, Up and Away (Almost)
* Recipe for Rover
* Running on Empty

LET’S GET LUNAR will sell for £12.99.

The series can be seen on CBeebies and BBC2 during autumn 2006. LUNAR JIM is a co-production between DHX Media’s Halifax Film unit and Alliance Atlantis, which distributes the series worldwide. As previously announced, Fisher-Price is the master toy licensee, and agreements with additional key merchandising partners and international broadcasters are continuing to be finalized.
