DVD Releases For May 6, 2008
A Bollywood musical extravaganza, a SPEED RACER treat and an old "twist" arrive on DVD today.
TWISTER SPECIAL EDITION
The 1996 summer blockbuster TWISTER arrives back on home video, on DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray (Warner Home Video), with vfx by ILM under the supervision of Stefen Fangmeier.
A mile-wide, 300 miles-per-hour force of total devastation is coming at you. In this adventure swirling with cliffhanging excitement and awesome special effects, Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton play scientists pursuing the most destructive weatherfront to sweep through mid-America’s Tornado Alley in 50 years. By launching electronic sensors into the funnel, the storm chasers hope to obtain data to create an improved warning system. But to do so, they must intercept the twisters' deadly path. The chase is on.

Lionsgate releases the all-new 2D animated movie SPEED RACER: THE NEXT GENERATION on DVD. Following the footsteps of the classic series, SPEED RACER: THE NEXT GENERATION explores the passion of a teenage racer with the most powerful and stylish car on the planet. Speed arrives at The Racing Academy only to find himself immediately intimidated by his fast-paced classmates, but armed with his new friends Conor, Lucy and Conor's robot monkey Chim Chim, Speed quickly lives up to his name and becomes the new one to beat in the driver's seat. AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER BOOK 3: FIRE VOLUME 3
From Nickelodeon Home Video comes the third release of AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER. The eclipse has come but where is the Firelord? Aang searches frantically for him, but finds trouble instead. The kids are forced to flee the Fire Nation Palace with Azula and her war ships hot on their heels. At the Western Air Temple, a surprise mentor joins them and offers to be Aang's Firebending teacher and together the new team must figure out a way to get Aang back in the fight.
