Hoho Rights has bolstered its portfolio by securing the international TV distribution, home entertainment and licensing and merchandising rights for exciting new kids property Everybody Loves A Moose, it was announced.

Commissioned by RAI and produced by Trion Pictures in Italy, the animated 52 x 7’ series is aimed at six to ten year olds and features the anarchic adventures of pre-teen schoolboy Jack and his meddling but ultimately well-meaning friend, Moose.

Conceived by UK-based writers Jonathan Davies and Christian Donlan, Everybody Loves A Moose will be script edited by Colin Davies.  The series will be made at Trion Pictures in Italy with voice-recording, music and post-production carried out at Connexion Media Group in the UK.

“We are very excited to have secured Everybody Loves a Moose and look forward to unveiling the series at MIPCOM,” says Hoho Rights’ joint Managing Directors Oliver Ellis and Helen Howells “The series has that crazy,  slapstick anarchy that takes us back to the golden age of cartoon capers yet deals hilariously with the trials and tribulations of being a modern pre-teen which will absolutely strike a chord with today’s kids.”

Riccardo Trigona of Trion Pictures says ‘We are delighted that Everybody Loves a Moose is being handled by Hoho Rights.  Their keen focus, passion and in-depth experience in rights’ management will ensure that Moose will be seen on multiple platforms around the world’.

Jack is an ordinary twelve-year-old boy who just wants to do the cool things that teenagers do.  He likes to throw himself at every challenge, even though he’s sometimes out of his depth.  The trouble is Jack has an older friend – a Moose – who quite often rushes in where others fear to tread and influences Jack, despite his better judgement.  From the turbulent waters of a first date to a school camping expedition that takes a wrong turn, Jack and Moose navigate the early teenage road of discovery with laughter, adventure, heartache and pain.  Again and again they prove that everybody loves a moose but spending too much time with one can only lead to trouble!
