Sci-fi fantasy series celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.
HOLLYWOOD -- Celebrating the 15th anniversary of Farscape this year, the sci-fi series that achieved cult status worldwide during its four-season run, The Jim Henson Company announced that it has licensed the entire series to the U.K.’s BSKYB for broadcast on PICK, commencing 6.55pm, Monday April 21st, 2014.

The original Farscape series comprises 88 one-hour episodes. Fusing live-action, state-of-the-art puppetry, prosthetics and CGI animation, FARSCAPE is hailed by TV Guide as one of the 25 Best Cult TV Shows, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy®. Winner of two prestigious Saturn Awards, Farscape was the first original series to air on SYFY and it gained a loyal fan following. The show’s success propelled ancillary products such as comics, games, a novel and magazine. A special collectors set was released for the first time on Blu-ray and on DVD in November 2013 by Cinedigm.
In Farscape, which airs in the U.S. on the new Pivot network targeting millenials (ages 18–34), astronaut John Crichton assumes he'll be home in time for dinner. But a freak accident during an experimental space mission catapults him across a thousand galaxies to an alien battlefield. Suddenly, he's trapped among alien creatures wielding deadly technology—a battle that 20th century sci-fi pop culture never prepared him for.
