Henson Appoints New Licensing Agent for 'Dinosaur Train'

The Jim Henson Company signs Lizenzwerft as the new licensing agent to represent “Dinosaur Train” in Germany.

Los Angeles, CA -- As Dinosaur Train’s fan base continues to grow throughout Europe and around the globe, The Jim Henson Company has signed Lizenzwerft as its new licensing agent to represent the critically acclaimed animated children’s series in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The news was announced by Melissa Segal, Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Products for The Jim Henson Company.

“The Dinosaur Train characters resonate with young viewers who are eager to interact with the property through a multitude of products and platforms,” said Segal “Peter Bichler and Dirk Wullenweber at Lizenzwerft share our passion for the charming characters and enchanting storylines that Dinosaur Train has become known for and will look to extend the brand while also ensuring its longevity in the marketplace.”

“Lizenzwerft has over 20 years of experience in the licensing business with a solid network of manufacturers, retailers and other key decision makers throughout Germany,” added Peter Bichler, managing director and co-founder of Lizenzwerft and a former Warner Bros. regional executive. “We have many creative ideas for how to extend the Dinosaur Train brand across our country,” continued Bichler.

As previously announced, TOMY the global toy company will be introducing its new Dinosaur Train product line into German retail markets in spring 2013.
