SCOOBY-DOO 2: MONSTERS UNLEASHED, last week's champ (with vfx by Rhythm & Hues and Giant Killer Robots), slipped to third with $14.7M and $49.7M in two weeks. HOME ON THE RANGE, Disney's last 2D animated feature for the foreseeable future, debuted in fourth for Buena Vista with a lackluster $13.8M. Placing fifth was THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST (with vfx by Keith Vanderlaan's Captive Audience, which earned another $10.6M on its way to $330.8M, placing it 10th on the all-time list. Paramount's THE PRINCE AND ME debuted in the sixth spot with $9.4M and Buena Vista's THE LADYKILLERS picked up $7M for a seventh place finish in its second weekend, for a cume of $23.4M. Miramax's JERSEY GIRL placed eighth in its sophomore outing with $5.1M, good enough for $15.8M. Universal's DAWN OF THE DEAD remake dropped to ninth in its third week with $4.5M for a total of $51.7M. Warner Bros.' TAKING LIVES thriller placed 10th with $3.4M and $27.4M to date.
