The Linda Joy Media Arts Society reminds filmmakers of the upcoming Helen Hill Animated Award deadline on Oct. 26, 2007. This award commemorates noted filmmaker Helen Hill who died this past January, the victim of a random crime. The LJMAS wants applications from creative, original and challenging artists working with animation on film or digital media, which reflect the spirit of innovation that characterizes the films of Helen Hill. The award is offered in support of a production on film or digital media in which the work derives its character from the predominant or entire use of animation, and reflects creativity and innovation in the artist's practice.
