Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) today announced that Heather Meeker has been appointed as Director of Worldwide Public Relations. In this role, Meeker will act as the day-to-day strategic executive guiding the public relations activities on behalf of WBCP worldwide.
Reporting to Barry Ziehl, VP of Worldwide Marketing and Public Relations for WBCP, Meeker will work closely with the domestic and international sales and retail teams, as well as worldwide marketing, to create awareness for Warner Bros. entertainment brand licensing portfolio and products. This will include working with internal and external partners to publicize key initiatives across all major product categories, including branded foods, toys, apparel, softlines, hardlines, live events and theme parks.
Meeker joins WBCP after a decade managing public relations for hi-tech companies. Most recently, she was Manager of Public Relations for Yahoo!, overseeing internal and external communications for the search marketing and display advertising divisions, as well as acting as a communications liaison to the sales team.
