Jupiter 9 Prods. is working on a feature adaptation of Robert Heinlein's HAVE SPACE SUIT, WILL TRAVEL, reports VARIETY. Jupiter 9's Harry Kloor penned a spec adaptation of the novel to the Heinlein estate as a way to convince them of his vision for the film.
The story follows a teen who wins second place in a trip to the Moon contest — a rundown spaceship, which leads him to contacting aliens.
Kloor's writing credits include STAR TREK: VOYAGER, animated GODZILLA series and EARTH: FINAL CONFLICT.
Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Peter McHugh will produce.
