Rumpus.com, a children's new media company, announced that Rick Mischel, former president and chief operating officer of Harvey Entertainment, will join the company as acting president. Mischel will forge new revenue streams for Rumpus in domestic and international television and home video markets. Mischel will continue his consulting duties at Harvey, and will serve in a non-exclusive capacity to Rumpus. He recently shepherded the creation of the new live-action RICHIE RICH TV series for The WB Network, served as executive producer on CASPER'S HAUNTED CHRISTMAS and supervised the animated special, THE LITTLEST ANGEL, based upon the best selling book of the same name. "Rumpus's creative strength and breadth of online programming is ripe for offline exploitation," said Mischel, "I look forward to spreading the Rumpus brand around the world. They have a great creative staff, and I look forward to joining their team of creative executives." Larry Schwarz, CEO of Rumpus, said "Rick Mischel's proven track record as a producer and kid's entertainment executive will help us execute our business plan of expanding Rumpus programming to all forms of media."
