Characters from ShoPro Entertainment's series HAMTARO will be featured as Halloween toys at Burger King restaurants. The toys will be available in North America from Oct. 6 to Nov. 2, 2003. This promotion will coincide with a special Halloween episode of the series airing in the U.S. on Cartoon Network Oct. 21 at 8:00 pm and Oct. 30, 2003 at 8:30 pm.
Craig Braasch, vp, global advertising and promotions, Burger King Corp., said, "This project is the result of our close working relationship with our promotional partners. We all were so enamored with the HAMTARO characters depicted in Halloween costumes that we agreed to wait until a half-hour special could be completed in time to coincide with the in-restaurant campaign."
The figurines of Hamtaro, as well as his pals Penelope, Bijou, Panda, Boss, Oxnard, Elder Ham and Cappy, look as they appear on the series and can "change" into Halloween disguises.
