Halacy To Head Vivendi Universal Games HR

Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) has appointed Mark J. Halacy to evp, Global Human Resources, overseeing the company's global HR operations across North America, Europe and Asia.

"Mark has led many successful HR development initiatives across large-scale, global organizations," said Bruce Hack, ceo of VU Games, to whom Halacy will report. "He will play an important leadership role at VU Games, as we aim to strengthen our global practices and capabilities."

During his tenure as svp of Global Human Resources Development at Vivendi Universal, Halacy led HR development strategies on a global basis, including the design and implementation of the global HR function following the mergers of Seagram, Universal Studios Group and Vivendi. Previously, he served as svp, North American Human Resources at Universal Music Group and vp Human Resources Development at Universal Studios Group.

Halacy spent more than eight years with Blockbuster Entertainment Group, most recently as svp, Worldwide Human Resources, where he oversaw organizational strategy, employee and labor relations, recruiting, training, compensation and benefits, among other HR responsibilities.
