NBC has given a back nine-episode order for the new supernatural series GRIMM, reports Deadline.com. Additionally, the network is giving the freshman series a chance at the big leagues by testing it out on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 10 pm, while still keeping it on its regular timeslot on Friday at 9 pm. The show, which combines Grimm fairy tale creatures with a police procedural plot, has averaged a 2.3/7 share with adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers overall, which is a 50% increase in viewership for its timeslot on NBC.

Universal Television, Hazy Mills Prods. and GK Prods. are the production studios. Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf created the show. Greenwalt, Kouf, Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner, Naren Shankar and Norberto Barba exec produce.
