Go, Diego, Go! Special Comes to the Rescue

Nick Jr. is airing a new hour-long GO, DIEGO, GO! TV movie, SAFARI RESCUE, on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 8th at 9:30 am. Diego will leave the rainforest and travel to Africa to team up with fellow animal adventurer Juma on a rescue mission to save the Serengeti's beloved elephants from an evil spell. In addition, Nick Jr. will present a GO, DIEGO, GO! premiere week of four new episodes, which will debut each weekday from Monday, Oct. 15 - Thursday, Oct. 18, at 9:30 am.

On Tuesday, Oct. 9, Nick Jr. will release GO, DIEGO, GO!: SAFARI RESCUE on DVD, which was created by Nickelodeon Home Ent. and distributed by Paramount Home Ent. The DVD will feature the TV movie, in addition to two other GO, DIEGO, GO! adventures, "Panchita the Prairie Dog" and "Little Hawk Learns to Migrate." Bonus features include a safari animal photo gallery and a song selection option.

Nick Jr. Video, Nick Jr.'s broadband video service available on Nickjr.com, now features a music video and two-minute "sneak peek" from the SAFARI RESCUE TV movie.

Nick Jr.'s award-winning website (www.nickjr.com) will feature an interactive game and activities to complement the TV movie. Nick Jr.com will feature the SAFARI RESCUE GAME where kids can go online to help Diego reverse the spells that the bad magician has cast on all the animals of the Serengeti. Players must make their way through the savanna to find the animals and use the magic drum to restore them to their natural state. Additionally, NickJr.com will feature safari-themed printables, crafts, activities and more.

GO, DIEGO, GO! was created and is exec produced by Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh, the same team behind DORA THE EXPLORER.
