Gnomon's New Introduction To ZBrush 3 With Ryan Kingslien

This week The Gnomon Workshop adds to its library of professional production technique DVDs with a new title by instructor Ryan Kingslien. INTRODUCTION TO ZBRUSH 3 WITH RYAN KINGSLIEN follows the same production artist training course Kingslien developed while Product Manager at Pixologic for companies such as ILM, EA and Ubisoft.

Focusing on the beginning digital sculptor, Kingslien walks you through the different options and controls in the interface while explaining how each feature fits together within a digital sculpting and texture painting workflow. With 33 chapters, each feature is discussed in short 10 to 20 minute segments to give the learner easy access to all that ZBrush has to offer.

Everything the beginning student needs to learn is covered here from ZBrush's advanced brush-based sculpting system to MatCap materials. Special attention is paid to getting started in ZBrush as fast as possible.

Kingslien studied traditional art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and digital art at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects. He was the Product Manager for ZBrush 3 at Pixologic where he worked with programmers and artists to fuse traditional and digital art. While at Pixologic, Ryan consulted with companies such as ILM, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Bungie Studios, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts to integrate digital sculpting into their production pipelines. Currently, Ryan is a resident artist at The Gnomon Workshop where he continues to sculpt, share his passion for digital art and teach.
