Gnomon Offers Registration for Fall Term

Registration for Fall Term at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects (Sept. 25-Dec. 10) begins today, Aug. 21, 2006.

Meanwhile, Gnomon is offering four new classes for Fall Term: * Creature Development & Creation: Taught by Puddnhead, takes students through the entire process of designing creatures for film and videogames.* ZBrush Digital Sculpting and Anatomy: Taught by Scott Spencer, builds on the skills acquired in the 10-week ZBrush class, guiding students through using ZBrush to convey accurate anatomical form.* Introduction to Unreal: Taught by Bil Leeman, introduces students to the various elements of game making. During this 10-week class, students design and create their own level, play each others games and talk about the experience.* Writing for Animation and Games: Taught by Craig Miller, teaches how to create characters, craft stories and write realistic dialog.

New instructors include Gnomon Certificate Program alumnus Leeman, who returns to teach Introduction to Unreal; Robert Coddington, lead animator at Electronic Arts, will teach Animation for Games; Geoff Harvey, lead lighter at DreamWorks Animation, will teach Lighting & Rendering 2; Scott Kilburn, an effects animator at Café FX, will teach Lighting & Rendering.
