Ricky Gervais is making a return to series television, teaming up with creative partner Stephen Merchant for an animated series that will air on HBO, CINEMA BLEND reports.
The duo will be putting animation to a series of web broadcasts they previously did for THE GUARDIAN.
The series, which HBO has greenlighted for 13 episodes so far, will premiere on Feb. 19, 2010. The podcasts, which Gervais and Merchant did with comic Karl Pilkington, set a record as the most downloaded ever according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
