Gerry Lewis takes on new role at DreamWorks

Gerry Lewis, currently the co-head of international distribution andmarketing for DreamWorks, will retire from that post in September 1999 toplay a new role for the company, it was announced today by DreamWorksprincipal Jeffrey Katzenberg. Lewis has entered into a three-yearagreement, under which he will consult on the international marketingactivities of all films directed by Steven Spielberg (for DreamWorks andother studios), as well as any sequels to or other versions of projectsoriginally produced under the Amblin Entertainment banner. JonathanChissick, who has served as co-head of international distribution andmarketing with Lewis since August 1997, will take over sole responsibilityfor DreamWorks' international operations, working in partnership withinternational film distributors United International Pictures (UIP) andCheil. DreamWorks SKG was formed in October, 1994, by its three principalpartners, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, to producelive-action motion pictures; animated feature films; network, syndicatedand cable television programming; home video entertainment; records; books;toys; consumer products and interactive entertainment.
