George H. Nicholas Exhibition: "From Mickey to the Grinch: Art of the Animated Film"Fort Wayne, Indiana, USANovember 22 January 11, 2004

Fort Wayne Museum of Art is holding an exhibition of the artwork of the late veteran animator George H. Nicholas, entitled "From Mickey to the Grinch: Art of the Animated Film." Nicholas credits include FANTASIA, PINOCCHIO, BAMBI and HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS. The Animation Station, located in the Eckrich Education Gallery, will allow participants to bring life to their own drawings.

A Family Day, on Nov. 30, will be held in conjunction with Holidayfest, from noon to 5:00 pm and will include hands-on activities. Charles Shepard III, Fort Wayne Museum of Art executive director, will lead a free Gallery Talk event at 12:15 pm Dec. 3. As well, the museum will offer lectured and guided tours, with flip-books to illustrate animation, on Dec. 7 and Jan. 4, during the museum's free Sundays. General admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and $10 for families. The Fort Wayne Museum of Art, is located at 311 E.
