GDH Brings Anime to China Via Internet Joint Venture

GDH K.K. has created a joint venture in Shanghai with Shenzhen Leaguer DTV Co., Ltd. and its affiliate company Ningbo Success Multi-Media Communication Co., Ltd. to distribute Japanese content over the Internet. Tentatively called Leaguer Gonzo Culture & Entertainment Corp., the company will provide anime content to Ningbo Success's video distribution portal, which, for a monthly flat rate, will offer users a new channel to enjoy GONZO titles and various other content that GDH manages. Leaguer Gonzo Culture & Entertainment Corp. plans to expand its field of operation into digital TV broadcasting, merchandising and animation production in the future.

Leaguer DTV is a digital television system company established by Tsinghua University. Owning a unique wireless digital TV platform, which is the largest in China, Leaguer DTV is one of the most prominent companies in mainland China's high-technology industry. Ningbo Success operates bbvod.net, the largest video distribution portal in China, which provides a wide variety of audio and visual content to more than 30 million users.

GDH is a globally focused Japanese media company founded in February 2000. The group produces entertainment for teens and young adults through its GONZO animation brand.
