GameSpy Invites Gamers To Chat Thru A Virtual E3 Experience

GameSpy will be hosting GameSpy LiveWire - a series of live, interactive audio, graphic and text chats from the trade show floor - at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), May 14-16, 2003 in Los Angeles, giving gamers the opportunity to interact directly for the first time with video game industry giants at the show.

The GameSpy LiveWire chats will feature video game business icons talking and taking questions about breaking news and cool new games, as well as discussions on hot topics in the industry such as trends in online gaming. Gamers can check out screenshots and graphics from the most highly anticipated games while they chat.

GameSpy editors will host the chats with confirmed guests, which include legendary designers Peter Molyneux and Randy Pitchford, who will showcase their much-heralded new titles BLACK AND WHITE 2 and HALO (for the PC), respectively. Will Wright, the creator of THE SIMS, will also be a guest to discuss what's coming in THE SIMS 2.

"GameSpy has always believed that the gaming community is a vital source of information and insight for other gamers," Dave Kosak, creative director, GameSpy Industries, said. "By producing these interactive chats at the industry's largest trade show, we're reinforcing our commitment to help fans connect with games and other gamers."

E3 attendees are encouraged to come to the GameSpy LiveWire interview stage at GameSpy's meeting room at Concourse Hall 150B in the Los Angeles Convention Center. Online users will participate in GameSpy LiveWire through GameSpy Arcade, GameSpy's leading online gaming and community service. They can download GameSpy Arcade at www.gamespyarcade.com and log in to participate. All connections - broadband and dial-up - are supported.
