Sims 3 Sells 1.4 Million Units

Electronic Arts has had its best PC launch ever with THE SIMS 3, reports VARIETY. The game, which debuted on June 2, has sold 1.4 million units, which at a pop of $50 a unit means EA is smiling. In addition to the PC version, a $10 rendition also topped the sales characters at Apple's App Store. In the first week of release, gamers have downloaded 7 million custom characters, houses, stories and other in-game products. In its history, the franchise has sold over 100 million units.
