Nintendo has announced that the 3DS will arrive in the U.S. on March 27, reports Variety. The new glasses-free 3-D handheld gaming system will be priced at $249.99.

The lenticular screen technology used for the 3-D is perfectly suited for the handheld's small screen. The viewing area is too narrow for TVs or theaters.

The WiFi enabled device will allow gamers to download games from the Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance.
