Former Disney artist who made significant contributions to recent animated hits ‘Tangled’ and ‘Frozen’ will be signing her new book, ‘A Fairy Friend,’ alongside an exhibition featuring original art work tied to the project.
On May 28th at Gallery Nucleus, artist Claire Keane will be signing her new book, “A Fairy Friend,” an enchanting illustrated children's book about the world of fairies. The gallery will also be featuring original art work tied to the book by Keane, who will be there in person to sign books and meet with fans.
"Soar into an enchanting, miniature world full of fairies. These playful creatures are all around us, if you know just where to look. And if you want to have one come to you, build a fairy house of twigs and blooms and wait patiently for a fairy to take up residence. Children are fascinated with miniature worlds and love to imagine the fairies which inhabit them. A forever friend awaits each reader in the pages of this lovely picture book."
Other activities will include a crafting table to build your own fairy home and a DIY photo booth that will spark your imagination.
Keane is known for her work as a visual development artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where she made significant contributions to recent hits Tangled and Frozen. She studied graphic design at the Ecole Superieure d'Arts Graphiques in Paris, France, and now lives with her family in Venice Beach, CA. Her previous illustrated book, “Once Upon a Cloud,” was published by Penguin’s Dial Books imprint in 2015.
