Galactica Delivers for Sci Fi Channel

Sci Fi Channel has scored another win with the premiere of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. The two-night, four-hour original event delivered a 3.5/2,897,000 HHs/4,177,000 P2+ average for its primetime premieres (Dec. 8-9, 2003, 9:00-11:00 pm ET/PT) - marking Sci Fi's best ratings performance in 2003 and the highest audience delivery for any original miniseries production on cable for the year.

Growing out of last night's strong 2.0 rating/1,643,000 HH/2,366,000 P2+ for the 7:00 pm encore presentation of Night 1, SCI FI produced a true television rarity - the primetime premiere of Night 2 of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA outperformed Night 1, with a stunning 3.8 rating/3,159,000 HH/4,460,000 P2+. The miniseries ranks as the third highest-rated original event in the Channel's history, behind only STEVEN SPIELBERG PRESENTS TAKEN and FRANK HERBERT'S DUNE.

The combined airings of Night 1 (Dec. 8 - 9:00 pm, 11:00 pm, 1:00 am and Dec. 9 at 7:00 pm) delivered an aggregate audience of 8,905,000 P2+.
