With MIPCOM Jr. wrapping up its run on Oct. 3, 2004, the conference posted improved attendance and proved a big success for Futurikon productions. The number of companies attending increased from 367 to 426. Total participants increased from 704 to 772. Additionally, 356 new programs were presented compared to 339 the previous year.
Futurikon had a hugely successful show garnering four shows in the top 30 programs screened at the event, including the top viewed series MINUSCULE. The other Futurikon productions making the top 30 are DRAGON HUNTERS, THE UGLY DUCKLING AND ME! and GERMS. Only Taffy Ent., with QUANTUM RAY and I GOT A ROCKET!, and B.R.B. Intl, with BERNARD and IRON KID, got more than one show in the top 30 list. Rounding out the top were Tele Images Intls STREET FOOTBALL, FRV Media and ZDF Enterprises DRAGON, Buena Vista Intl TVs W.I.T.C.H., TF1 Intl and Timoon Animations ODD FAMILY, Breakthrough Ent.s ATOMIC BETTY, Dargauds BILLY AND BUDDY and Les Cartooneurs SHAOLIN KIDS.
