Futurama & Family Guy To Air On TBS

TBS has picked up reruns of FUTURAMA and THE FAMILY GUY. Starting Monday, July 7, 2003, the two shows will air weekdays at 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm, respectively. This move continues the crossover between Cartoon Network and its fellow AOL Turner channels, as well as TBSs pursuit of the young adult audience.

Steve Koonin, evp/coo of TBS Superstation and TNT, said, FUTURAMA and THE FAMILY GUY have proven to be stellar hits among adults 18-34 for the late-night Cartoon Network Adult Swim crowd, and we are confident they will prove to be equally popular during the afternoons on TBS Superstation.

FUTURAMA, winner of the 2002 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program (less than one hour), follows the adventures of Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy who was accidentally frozen on New Years Eve in 1999 and thawed out 1,000 years later. The show was created by THE SIMPSONS-creator Matt Groening and features the voices of Billy West, Katey Sagal and John Di Maggio. THE FAMILY GUY chronicles the lives of the Griffin family, featuring the loving but underachieving father Peter, his devoted wife Lois, teen queen Meg, slacker Chris, homicidal infant Stewie and the well-spoken family dog Brian. The Emmy Award-winning THE FAMILY GUY was created by Seth McFarlane, and features the voice work of Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Patrick Warburton.

TBS Superstation reaches more than 87 million households and offers viewers a wide range of programming, including original movies, original series, hosted movie showcases, world broadcast premieres, popular sitcoms, Major League Baseball and college football.
