Internet TV service Veoh Networks and FUNimation Ent. have entered into a distribution agreement through which Veoh will offer dozens of popular anime titles. Veoh will support its robust anime line-up with the launch of a dedicated FUNimation channel which will house in one easy-to-navigate place the extensive programming. The FUNimation channel will launch this week with nearly 200 hours of content and is being spotlighted on Veoh’s home page.
The deal will also give Veoh an exclusive window to screen episodes of the cult hit GUNSLINGER GIRL: IL TEATRINO and make it the destination for new episodes of current anime sensation SHIKABANE HIME -- with new episodes debuting on Veoh within weeks of their Japan television premiere.
GUNSLINGER GIRL: IL TEATRINO is the follow-up to the GUNSLINGER GIRL animated series which aired in the U.S. on IFC about a group of young schoolgirl assassins. SHIKABANE HIME (CORPSE PRINCESS) is a supernatural tale of a young girl who is one of the undead and must destroy her own kind and is currently airing on Japan television
Additionally, the Veoh FUNimation channel will feature full episodes of dozens of popular anime favorites including BLACK BLOOD BROTHERS, GHOST HUNT, GLASS FLEET, JYU-OH-SEI, KIDDY GRADE, MOONPHASE, MUSHISHI, MR. STAIN, RUMBLING HEARTS, SHIGURUI, SHIKABANE HIME, SHUFFLE, SUZUKA and XXXHOLIC.
