Friends and Heroes Set to Debut This Fall

After three years in the making, the animated family action-adventure FRIENDS AND HEROES is due for delivery in September 2006.

Set in the turbulent times of the Roman Empire, FRIENDS AND HEROES follows the adventures of Macky, Portia and their friends across the ancient world and right to the heart of the Empire: Rome. As they fight for freedom, justice and even survival against the might of the Roman Empire, they become friends and then, in turn, heroes.

In addition to the adventure story, cast in authentic historical detail, FRIENDS AND HEROES brings the inspiring stories of the Old and New Testaments to a new, worldwide generation of children, whatever their faith or cultural background. The stories are placed in living contexts amongst the people who kept them alive, passing them down through generations in the oral tradition, which runs through the series as a constant motif.

Produced by STAR WARS producer Gary Kurtz and with music from Pete Waterman Prods., the series contains 26 half-hours.

Exec producer, Alison Dorricott, said, These adventure stories take place almost two thousand years ago, yet Macky and the gang will appeal to todays children. They are attractive, inspirational, very real characters and they dont always get things right! They face similar issues and dilemmas to those faced by youngsters today and we believe that their experiences, combined with the stories, which they tell, will help foster respect and kindness to others as well as encouraging the tolerance much needed in todays world.

Friends and Heroes Ltd. (www.friendsandheroes.com) owns all rights to the concept and series.
