Co-created and executive produced by Jennifer Oxley (Little BillThe Wonder Pets!) and Billy Aronson (RentPostcards from Buster), Peg + Cat is produced by The Fred Rogers Company for PBS KIDS. Kevin Morrison of The Fred Rogers Company and Vince Commisso of production partner 9 Story Entertainment also serve as executive producers. 9 Story distributes the series internationally.

Series Co-Creator Jennifer Oxley took home the award for “Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for Production Design,” while Hayley Faith Negrin, the voice of Peg, was honored with “Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Program.” The 11-year-old Negrin was the youngest nominee at this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards.

Peg + Cat follows the adorable, spirited Peg and her loyal sidekick Cat, as they embark on a host of hilarious, musical adventures, learning foundational math concepts along the way. Each episode features engaging stories in which Peg and Cat encounter a problem that requires them to use math and problem solving skills in order to move forward. The series provides young viewers with a new way to experience math and highlights its importance in a variety of everyday situations. Life skills such as cooperation are also core components of the series, as Peg and her friends have to work together to solve problems – and since Peg doesn’t always get it right the first time, viewers get to see the value of experimentation and learning from mistakes. Music is used as a teaching tool throughout the series and each episode features an original song.
