Michael Franzi has been appointed vp of sales for THX Ltd., responsible for defining sales strategy, building partnerships with consumer electronics and entertainment companies, and guiding worldwide sales efforts.
Franzi, a seasoned executive with more two decades of sales management experience, brings to THX a successful track record of developing global sales channels and establishing strong customer alliances at leading technology and communications companies.

"Michael's experience will be critical to THX as we aggressively move to develop and commercialize new THX technologies in both the professional and consumer entertainment markets."
Franzi was vp of marketing and sales at K-WILL, a subsidiary of Japan's KDDI Media Will and developer of video and audio quality monitoring systems for the broadcast, telecommunications and media post-production industries. Prior to K-WILL, Franzi had been vp of worldwide marketing and sales for Planar Systems, a developer of video display systems for the consumer electronics, industrial and professional markets. He managed the global sales and marketing teams that generated annual revenues in excess of $275 million for Planar Systems. Franzi has also held executive sales and marketing positions at Conexant Systems, a semiconductor solutions provider.

Franzi started his sales management career at Tektronix, a global leader in test, measurement and monitoring systems, where he spent more than 20 years in a variety of sales and marketing capacities focused on the telecommunications and professional video markets.
