EW reports that 20th Century Fox has passed on the 24 feature script by Billy Ray (STATE OF PLAY). The TV series producer Howard Gordon said the project is on hold at the moment, but that UNSTOPPABLE director Tony Scott was planning on meeting with series star Kiefer Sutherland about ideas for a feature.
The feature would not be held to the same constraints of the series format where every moment happened in real time. The end of the eighth season last year opened the door for rogue CTU agent Jack Bauer to make the leap to the big screen.
