Santa Barbara, CA - February 1st, 2011 - Foothill Entertainment is pleased to announce that it has optioned the rights to the animated children's comedy series "Raz & Benny" from Simon Hodgkiss of SphDigital, UK. Creative development and marketing of the property will be financed by Odyssey Pictures Corporation, a strategic partner of Foothill.
Targeting the 6-9 year old audience, "Raz & Benny" is the ultimate buddy comedy with a healthy dose of dazzling hijinks and death-defying stunts; it is the tale of two little mice whose ambitions are bigger than their brains, but whose good luck is as endless as their friendship.
This deal marks the expansion of a strategic co-development deal between Foothill and Odyssey that was forged in November of 2010 for joint product development, financing and key sales activities. The initial projects to be co-developed by the two companies were "Gunk Aliens" and "My Momtourage and Me." As part of the growing relationship, Foothill will be representing three of Odyssey's titles for international distribution: "Kings of France", "Vauban" and "On the Farm." Odyssey and Foothill will also be jointly exhibiting at the upcoming MIPTV market at Cannes in April of this year.
