Flash Game Development Contest

Social entertainment community Meez, (www.meez.com), where people can create custom 3-D animated avatars, play casual games and socialize in virtual rooms, has launched a contest for Flash developers worldwide to create games using the Meez Inside Avatar API and compete to win more than $20,000 worth of prizes.

Developer tools from Meez Inside Games -- such as its Avatar API -- represent the only opportunity for Flash game designers to bring the same levels of human animation and personalization found in high-end console games into Flash. Games created using the Meez Inside Avatar API can live anywhere online, not just on Meez.com. For example, players are already incorporating their customized 3-D Meez avatars into the popular Dance Floor Destroyer.

FlashGameLicense has teamed with Meez to present this contest. FGL creates monetization opportunities for Flash-based game developers by connecting them with potential buyers. This contest will run from July 8, 2008 to September 8, 2008. Contestants will be judged on their ability to integrate avatars with creativity and originality, addictiveness, sound, graphics and polish. Developers will be eligible to win the following prizes:

--Grand Prize: $10,000--Second Place: $5,000--Third Place: $2,500--Honorable Mention (five winners): $1,000 each

Submissions can be entered at www.flashgamelicense.com/meezinsidecontest.php. Full contest rules are available at http://www.flashgamelicense.com/meezinsidecontest.php?page=details.
