First World Digital Imaging Convention

* First World Digital Imaging Convention: Tuesday, November 20 - Friday, November 23, 2001, Strasbourg, France.

The theme of the first World Digital Imaging Convention will be "Digital Imaging in Society." Conference themes include: Local Authorities, Telecommunications, Computer Graphics, Cinema, TV and the Internet. The convention will feature two main events: a business conference, with seminars, presentations, training sessions, pitching workshops and an "innovation forum," and a digital imaging festival, open to the general public, with the screening of short and feature films, documentaries, animated films, commercials, experimental movies and music videos. Former US Vice-President Al Gore will give a keynote speech at a plenary session entitled: "A New Democracy Through New Technologies" on November 21, 2001.
