Wedge Acquires Wings of Madness

Chris Wedge has bought the rights to Paul Hoffman's book WINGS OF MADNESS: ALBERTO SANTOS-DUMONT AND THE INVENTION OF FLIGHT, reports Variety. Wedge is eying the film as his live-action directorial debut.

The story follows unconventional socialite Alberto Santos-Dumont and his desire to invent a flying machine.

Nikki Levy will shepherd for the director's Wedge Works World Wide.

Wedge is now working on Fox Animation and Blue Sky's animated feature LEAFMEN.
