Mark Waters (THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES) is in talks to direct the Beatles time travel tale GET BACK, reports Variety. Waters would produce with Sidney Kimmel, Matt Berenson and his producing partner Jessica Tuchinsky. Jim Tauber is the exec producer.

Penned by Chris McCoy, the story finds two Beatles fanatics traveling back in time to stop John Lennon from meeting Yoko Ono and thus stopping The Beatles from breaking up.

Production would start in late summer.
