Warner Bros. has purchased the sci-fi pitch, titled RISE, from new scribe David Karlak, reports Deadline.com. Karlak partnered with SAW writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan on the pitch. The plot is being kept secret.

THE GRUDGE partners Roy Lee and Lawrence Grey will producer alongside exec producer John Middleton. Underground, who reps Karlak, will also produce. Karlak has gained attention from his online short THE CANDIDATE.
