M. Night Shyamalan has told MTV that he will be using the story for a planned UNBREAKABLE 2 film for the third film in his NIGHT CHRONICLES film series, which he is producing. Shyamalan said there were too many villains in the UNBREAKABLE 2 script so he removed one to create an entire film around. The new film will be what UNBREAKABLE 2 would have been.

The first film in the NIGHT CHRONICLES series, DEVIL, will hit theaters Sept. 17. The next film in the series is titled TWELVE STRANGERS.
