Furst Films has purchased the rights to R.L. Stine's THE SITTER, reports VARIETY. The plot follows a young woman who becomes a summer nanny for a four-year-old, who has gone mute since witnessing something frightening.

Sean and Bryan Furst are the producers with Yvonne Bernard and Beth Hawk. Stine, Jane Stine and Ann Blanchard will exec produce.

Furst Films has a first-look agreement with Overture Films.
