M. Night Shyamalan told ComingSoon.net that Rogue Pictures' THE NIGHT CHRONICLES: DEVIL, based on a story he conceived, will arrive in theaters on September 17, 2010. The film follows a group of people trapped in an elevator with the devil. QUARANTINE helmers John Erick and Drew Dowdle directed from a script by Brian Nelson.

Previously the film was set to be release on February 11, 2011. The new date puts it up against Screen Gem's comedy EASY A, Lionsgate's animated flick ALPHA AND OMEGA, Ben Affleck's thriller THE TOWN and Philip K Dick-based sci-fi thriller THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU.
