LatinoReview.com is reporting the Sam Raimi's long-gestating redux of THE SHADOW has moved from Sony to Fox. However at the new studio, Raimi has decided not to direct, instead putting David Slade in the director's seat. Raimi produced Slade's 30 DAYS OF NIGHT.

The crimefighter who hypnotizes people into believing he is invisible started life in pulp novels in the 1930s. He transitioned successfully into a radio hero with Orson Welles voicing the character. In the 1940s, the character made the jump to film in serials. In the 1994 feature adaptation, Alec Baldwin starred as the rich man who fights crime on the side.
